Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filter systems are designed to remove tastes, odors and some dissolved organic chemicals from water supplies. This is achieved through adsorption of the contaminants onto the GAC bed surface. Perhaps its greatest use is for the reduction/removal of chlorine. Various types of activated carbon are available to address a wide range of contaminants for which Advanced Water Solutions specialists can assist you.
Due to the high level of chlorine or chloramines added to water and adjusting pH levels by cities, we have found it necessary to use catalytic carbon to ensure better chlorine & chloramine reduction.
Whole house carbon filters can easily be added to any system!
